The Flamingo 3 sails three basic schedules each season
all depending on species and times of season and year. The Flamingo 3 starts
in April with the Winter Flounder season, progress to striped bass and
bluefish mixed with weakfish and also runs night trips Friday and Saturday
night during the bass and bluefish season only, but finishes up the daytime
fishing December 15th with the last day of the striped bass season in New
York. Following is the breakdown:
They are doing their best to keep
the fare at $55 as the soaring fuel prices are really cutting into their
bottom line. They plan on doing their best to keep it at $55 for as long as
they can possibly do so, but just as you folks are putting gas at over $4
per gallon in your vehicles, the Flamingo is now over $5 per gallon for
diesel and they use HUNDREDS of gallons about every other day. Do the math!
Keeping it at $55 is tough to do and is a great deal right now for you
folks, but Capt. Bob says they will keep it there as long as they can and
hopefully make it though this season at that rate.
