Flamingo 3 Fishing Reports

Capt. Bob ReportsCapt. Bob Wiegand: Whey finally got out again Saturday (11/7) after a few days late in the week tied to the dock in gale force winds, especially Friday. However Saturday if you were on the boat you slaughtered fish. They had all the big blues of 8 to 13 pounds you could handle in deep (50 foot) water jigging action. They also had 15 keeper bass to 20 pounds and a load of shorts. This is the prime jigging time and now is the time to get on the Flamingo! A tough day of jigging in spring like conditions on Sunday. Half the anglers on board came back again looking for a repeat of Saturday's awesome action. The weather was beautiful butbut it was not to be. They had enough blues to get by but had no bass. Capt. Bob worked overtime checking out many areas from east of Debs Inlet all the way to Sea Bright, NJ burning lots of fuel but it just wasn't meant to be this day.

They did bite again on Monday (11/9) in the exact same spring like conditions we saw on Sunday so go figure. It was super...even better than Saturday. They had 26 keeper sized stripers, too many short bass to count & they slammed the bluefish again also. Everyday is a new ballgame & as they say past performance does not guarantee future results. In other words that why they call it fishing. They were out Sat. evening & had mediocre results drifting live eels. A handful of keeper striper, some short bass & some blues. Daytime fishing seems to be the ticket right now if your lucky enough to pick a day with good fishing & nice weather. They sail daily at 6:30 a.m. and Friday and Saturday nights at 7 p.m. The web site is www.Flamingo3.com.

Capt. Bob and The Flamingo III have been featured on The Fishing Line Television Show a couple of times in the past. Once for spring great spring, ocean winter flounder fishing and another jigging bass and bluefish on another episode. Bob & RJ scored big time on both shows on giant bass with fish over 25 pounds. You can order the extended home release video which is longer than the 30 minute show version by clicking the link.
